TRU welding student Evan Butchard was among the welders who manufactured these Olympic Rings, visible from Vancouver’s seawall in Stanley Park and featured on the Vancouver Sun website. Now an employee of Valid Manufacturing in Salmon Arm, Butchard was the gold medal winner in welding at at the National Skills Canada in 2009
